PC Internal Speaker is part of the category Sound Hardware Supported.
PC Internal Speaker refers to the built in sound capabilites of the IBM PC, PC/XT, PC/AT, and compatible computers. The sound
capabilities of the these computers are very limited (even compared with some other computers of the same era) and consisted of
the ability to play a single square wave at a time with a fixed volume. Some games also managed to play digitized sounds
over the PC speaker by using pulse-width modulation which allowed the speaker to act as a crude DAC, however the sound
quality was often very poor.
