IBM PC version of Black Monday
Black Monday is a stock market trading simulation for one to six players. The goal of the game is to earn as much money as possible by the end of ten turns. Money is earned by buying and selling stocks; at the end of each turn, the stocks will either increase or decrease in value depending on market conditions. At the end of the game the player whose stocks had the largest gains wins.

Gameplay

At the beginning of each turn the stock market opens and the players select stocks to buy and sell one by one. The game provides a list of stocks along with a summary of their price and how many are already owned. Once all of the players have made their selections, the trading day ends and a news ticker provides updates on stocks and market conditions. In order to aid players in their decision making, the game also provides some graphs to show how a stock has performed throughout the game.

Price changes to stocks in the game are random, however a player can attempt to influence the price somewhat by buying or selling large quantities of a stock. If a stock is doing very well, dividends may be earned or the stock may split. In the event a player is in trouble and is low on cash or wishes to make a large purchase, a bank is available to take out loans.
