Overview
Championship Golf: The Great Courses of the World - Volume One: Pebble Beach is a golf game featuring one of the world's most famous golf courses, Pebble Beach. The game attempts to accurately (for the time) recreate the course and features a wide variety of selectable 3D or 2D views. Viewing options include showing the course from the player's location, an overhead view of each hole, birds eye view, split screen or full screen choices, and other options. Numerous parameters can be adjusted for each shot including the golfer's stance, power for the shot, club selection, club position, foot position, and a lot more. A full round of golf including all 18 holes can be played, or a single hole can be selected for practice.
IBM CGA Composite Colors
The IBM PC version of Championship Golf features CGA composite graphics which use the unusual technique of requesting the player to adjust the tint setting of their display. More information and screenshots available in PixelatedArcade's blog post Do Not Attempt To Adjust The Picture.
