Overview
MS Flight Simulator for IBM PC
Microsoft Flight Simulator is the first release in the popular Flight Simulator Series for the IBM PC. The game allows players to fly a Cessna 182 in one of four regions (Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, or Seattle) with the game beginning at Meigs Field in Chicago. Many factors in the game can be configured to tailor the game for beginner or advanced players, and environmental factors such as the weather and time of day change as well. An additional “British Ace” mode is included allowing players to fly a Sopwith Camel with the goal of bombing targets and shooting down enemy planes. Color is supported only with a composite monitor; the game works with an RGB monitor, but only in black and white.
