Gameplay
The player controls a tank called the "Raven II" from a first-person point of view in the cockpit. Piloting the Raven II, the player needs to locate and destroy all of the enemies on nine different planets. Enemies include various types of tanks, planes, cannons, and other installations.
The view from the cockpit shows the planet landscapes, a long range scanner to locate enemies, along with indicators to show damage and which weapons are activated. The Raven II is equipped with a default cannon and mines, but is also capable of collecting power-ups that extend the abilities. More powerful shots, extra speed, and other weapons can be collected to aid in the players goal. The Raven II can also activate a cloaking device for a short period of time to hide from opponents. At certain points throughout the game there are warps that bring the player back to the hangar where repairs and upgrades can be performed.
Each of the levels ends with a powerful boss; some have particular weaknesses that will need to be exploited, others simply require numerous hits before being destroyed. Once the boss has been eliminated, a warp to the next level becomes available. Once the end of the final level is reached, the player needs to battle Gir Draxon to win the game.
