Out on a LEM is a Lunar Lander style action/skill game. The goal is to land a moon lander on the white landing pad safely. The lander begins at the top of the screen and simulated gravity soon begins to pull it towards the moon surface. Landing requires using the lander's left, right, and vertical thrusters to counteract gravity and ensure that not only is the lander over the landing pad when it hits the ground, but also that it is moving at a safe speed. The lander has a limited amount of fuel for powering the thrusters; if fuel runs out, it will crash. Additionally, if players apply too much thrust and the lander leaves the screen the game also will end.
