Pitfall! Series


The Pitfall! Series is a series of games published by Activision featuring Pitfall Harry, an Indianna Jones style explorer on a search for treasures. The series began on the Atari 2600 as a 2D platform game (and is usually credited with having created the side scrolling platform genre of games) and spawned numerous sequels with more recent games being in 3D. The games typically games take place in jungles or caverns which are full of dangers ranging from snakes and scorpions to bottomless pits.
