Galaxy Invasion is an action game released by Big Five Software for the TRS-80 in 1980. It is essentially a clone of Galaxian where the player has the goal of earning as many points as possible by destroying the numerous alien invaders.

Gameplay

Players control a ship which can move left or right along the bottom of the screen and is capable of firing a single shot at a time. Rows of alien invaders appear at the top of the screen moving back and forth. Players need to shoot all of the invaders to earn as many points as possible; each time all the invaders are destroyed, the game proceeds to the next, more difficult wave. Similar to Galaxian, the invaders fire numerous shots at the player which need to be avoided. Some invaders also fly down and attempt to crash into the player. Several of the invaders are fleet flagships; these are worth more points when shot, however they are guarded by two additional invaders making them more difficult to hit. If the player's ship is hit by any of the invaders or their fire, it is lost; the game ends when there are no more ships remaining.
