Overview
Pac-Gal is a clone of Pac-Man for the IBM PC released in 1982. As in Pac-Man, the goal is to eat all of the dots in the maze without being caught by the four ghosts that are in constant pursuit. Located throughout the maze are several flashing dots; eating one temporarily allows Pac-Gal to eat the ghost for bonus points. Once all dots in the maze are cleared, the game repeats with higher difficulty. The game uses ASCII characters to create the maze, player (represented by a smiley face), and ghosts (represented with different symbols such as a diamond and spade). Players can choose a game speed ranging from very fast (0) all the way to very slow (30,000).
